Reflection
This unit has taught me many helpful tips and tricks. I found it was very easy to come up with functions and graph them. I found it easier to construct linear functions than exponential functions. It was quite easy to find intercepts, constant rates and differences, and slopes.
I had a bit of a hard time coming up with some word problems, mainly because I had to incorporate functions within them. I tried to be creative with what I wrote, so it was a bit challenging.
I also found it a bit difficult to write exponential functions. I could not get a full grasp on the writing part of that concept, therefore it challenged be a bit.
I liked writing recursive formulas much more than I did explicit, but I found both easy.
I do believe that I would not mind hitting the exponential function part of the curriculum again, because it is still a bit vague. I think I grasped the actual function writing part of the curriculum the best.
I would give this advise to future students: It very much helps if you listen to every word the teacher says. It also helps if you do the assigned task by yourself, so that you can get a full grasp of the concept, and you can ask questions for the stuff you do not understand.
I found all the tasks quite helpful, but the Community Service Task helped the best. I think it incorporated a lot of the curriculum in one task, therefore testing it all.
